Vacuum is applied to the breast by means of a tubing connection to the pump. The air flow between the pump and the hands-free cups generate a vacuum that is applied to the breasts for milk expression.

The Hands-free Collection Cups are not intended to be used for milk storage. The milk is then collected within the cups and once pumping is finished the expressed milk can be poured from the cups into a bottle or storage bag.
